Time for a well deserved break!

Hey Hey Hey!

This week has been very relaxing... most of the members of Powersink have taken a well-deserved break from doing anything productive since the Perth Game Festival because it was extremely tiring but so worth it!

Tash worked on sorting out the winners for the lottery and letting them know that they've won a 3D model from our game, and Zhara has been working on collating all our data into an easy-to-read spreadsheet so that we can see how the playtesting went at PGF. And Triton has started setting up a Minecraft world so we can start planning future levels. Luke has still been up to quite a bit still this week whilst other members have taken a break and worked on other assignments due soon for other units. I'll let him explain what he's been up to :))

Hey guys it's Luke again,

Despite the immense amount of work we had for PGF, I decided it'd be best to do a little clean-up work this week.

Powersink was a little too big for the PCs we used at PGF and as such, I've been looking into potential performance optimizations which have been very tedious and I'm yet to find any major performance drains apart from HDRP (the render pipeline we are using)  In addition to that, I worked on improving our Game Manager so we could add levels to the roster with ease (which I'm happy to say went without a hitch). As for future tasks, I'm excited to begin working on the progression system & accessibility functionality that the team has had planned since May.

Anyways, that's all from me! Have a great one!

Thanks, Luke! Sounds awesome, keen to see those improvements in performance to Powersink the next time we have our meeting :)

It's quite a small blog today since most members have been taking a break, but we are keen to start more development next week on the game and continue building on our vision for Powersink. :))

Thanks, everyone!!
