Exciting things to come!
Hello!!
This week the members of Kitchen Sink have been working on some pretty exciting things for Powersink such as modelling our boss for the final level, working on some more accessibility options, and level progression. I don't want to spoil too much of what others have been up to this week so I'll just let them tell you all about it!
Starting with... Triton!
Hello friends, it's Triton! I’m back and this time its to tell you guys how much I’ve worked on this week. Well, it isn't much due to an assignment that was due this week but I did do something. I just started working on modelling on the boss for our game. I do have his main body done and have now started on modelling detailing the sides and will most likely work on it more over the weekend. Since this is my last semester and I’m more than halfway done with it, I’m looking forward to experiencing the adult work life of 3D modelling and can’t wait to see what kinds of stuff ill be doing which I look forward to. Anyways that’s all for me I'll see you guys all next week!
That's awesome Triton! Keen to see the final model of our boss soon! And now onto Luke and what he's been up to this week...
Hey there, it's Luke! This past week I've been working on implementing player progression, graphics options and animated fish. The player progression system is set up now and the graphics/fish stuff is in the works. The plan is to include some brightness, resolution, full screen, language and other such options. As for the fish, I'll just let that be a surprise for when it's done. This project has really gotten me excited to work with people in industry to make some amazing things. I'm really keen to see where we all end up and what we end up working on! Regardless, that's my take for this week and I hope you all are ready for what is to come!
That's awesome Luke! Adding different accessibility options will be great to have in our game so that we can reach out and help people feel included when it comes to the final version of our game :)
Zhara has been up to quite a bit this week for other units but she's been providing some valuable input towards our main boss in the final level as all of the production and implementing has been handed over to her, we are very excited to see what she comes up with and what we can all do to achieve that vision :)
And now me! Tash! To be completely honest, I haven't been up to much this week. I've been doing some other assignments to get them out the way and done with so that when I'm needed more for Powersink I'm more readily available. I've been keeping in touch still with the winners from PGF and writing this very blog! I'm excited for the future, when I've finally graduated from uni and in the industry. Hopefully I'll be doing animation and concept art for games and film! So keen for the future! :D
It's been quite the week of development and excitement and we here at Kitchen Sink are so so SO excited to bring you more and more updates in the area of Powersink and the future of this awesome and fun game! :D
Thanks to you, the people who take the time to read our blogs! We appreciate you all so so so much and and keen to bring you more content and updates to Powersink :)
Thanks everyone!
