Perth Game Festival was a BLAST!

Hello Everyone!!!

Last time you heard from us we were putting the finishing touches on our game right before the Perth Game Festival. And you might have been wondering... "hmm, where is the blog?!" Well it's right here! Sorry it wasn't posted yesterday as Saturday is our usual blog day. We were all incredibly exhausted after the festival, but it was SO much fun!

Some playtesting happening!

Thankyou to everyone who came down to support the local game industry in Perth! It was awesome meeting you all, getting to know you, and getting some very valuable feedback. We loved every minute of the very chaotic day and it wouldn't have been possible without all the support from other developers, university tutors, and of course, Let's Make Games! (twitter: @letsmakegames) and all of the sponsors on the day.

It was a VERY busy day!

We got to present Powersink along side some of our fellow games art and design friends! Their merch is so cute! The day was filled with so much laughter, jokes, gaming and fun!

Ouch! :') Dylan is part of the Fishlings game group. Check out their twitter! (@fishlingsgame) and look at these cute stickers!!

Setting up our games! (never run with scissors! :'))

We made a bunch of new friends and were able to share stories about game development. Some highlights from the day include the sheer amount of kids who picked up the controller and sped run through our game without hesitation... YOU GUYS ROCK! Another highlight was the parents who knew nothing about gaming but were happy that their kids were enjoying Powersink and could relate to their kids in such a precious way. Whether it was through trying to help them finish a level, or listening to their kid tell them for the fortieth time how cute the little diver was!
More playtesting!!

Our booth!

So, from the bottom of Team Kitchen Sink's heart (Luke, Triton, Tash and Zhara) Thankyou so much for coming out, playing Powersink, and encouraging us to continue to develop and pursue a career in this industry! Everyone has helped us in so many different ways and we are all so grateful for everyone who reads this blog or, playtests Powersink or, even just motivate us inside and outside of uni to continue to develop!

cheeky photo time!

Thanks again, see you all very soon for more development posts and updates!
